How to get there
From Burgos
Whether you’re coming from Valladolid, Palencia, Madrid or other parts of southern Spain, you need to:
Head towards Burgos.
As you approach Burgos, take the N-120 (Logroño) or, alternatively, the A-1 or AP-1 (Vitoria and/or the airport)
On the A-1, after passing Burgos, take exit 242 towards the N-120 (Logroño).
You’ll join a new dual carriageway. After a few kilometres, take exit 245 towards the N-120 (Logroño and the airport).
We join the N-120 and continue straight on towards the N-120 Logroño. No turns until we reach Villamayor del Río
Just as we are leaving Villamayor del Río, take the turn-off to the left towards Quintanilla del Monte
And follow the signs to ‘La Casa Rural’
From Miranda de Ebro
If you’re coming from Galicia, Asturias, Cantabria or the Basque Country, your route will likely take you through Miranda de Ebro:
As you approach Miranda de Ebro on the A-1/E-5, take exit 325 towards the N-124 (Laguardia/Logroño)
Then, take the exit towards the AP-68 (Logroño/Bilbao) and the A-2120 (Miranda de Ebro)
A few metres further on, take the first exit on the right to join the AP-68 (Logroño/Bilbao/Burgos)
Once on the AP-68, continue towards Logroño/Zaragoza for about 15 km
Take exit 9 (Haro/Santo Domingo de la Calzada)
Follow the LR-111/N-126 towards Santo Domingo
After just over 10 km, take the turn-off towards the A-12 (Burgos)
After about 15 km on the A-12 and N-120, take the turn-off to the right towards Quintanilla del Monte, which you’ll find just after passing the sign for Villamayor del Río
And follow the signs to ‘La Casa Rural’
From Logroño
If you’re coming from Catalonia, Aragon, Navarre or parts of eastern Spain, your route will likely take you through Logroño:
To Logroño:
If you’re heading towards Pamplona, simply follow the A-12 towards Logroño and take the ring road to rejoin the A-12 as it passes through Logroño.
If you are coming from the direction of Zaragoza, follow the AP-68 to junction 11 (Navarrete/Fuenmayor). Immediately follow the signs for the A-12 or N-120 towards Burgos until you join the A-12.
Continue straight on, first along the A-12 and then the N-120, for approximately 50 km.
As soon as you pass the sign for Villamayor del Río, take the turn-off to the right towards Quintanilla del Monte.
Then follow the signs to ‘La Casa Rural’.
